unboxing: Yogi Bliss Box November 2014

Yogi Bliss Box is not a typical monthly subscription box. At the beginning of every month, Yogi Bliss releases a theme for customers to decide whether or not they want that collection of 3-5 full sized yoga lifestyle items. I've never seen an online unboxing for this one, and this is my first time purchasing, so I had absolutely no clue what to expect.

Yogi Bliss Box
November 2014
unboxing
Cost: $49.95 + $7 S&H = $56.95

Theme:
Get Grounded

The theme for this month was released on November 4th, and I reserved mine that same day. My box shipped via USPS Priority Mail on November 27th and arrived yesterday, December 1st.

Yogi Bliss ships a box within a box, which is cool. I can remove their cute logo and reuse this :).

I really like how detailed the info sheet is that was included in my box, and how it explains why the item fits the "grounded" theme.

Ok, so I received five items this month and they look great! Now let's see how the value compares to the pretty penny I spent to get this box.

Earthbound Daily Meditations for All Seasons by Brian Nelson I found this on Amazon, which states that the retail price is $15, but it is selling there for $12.43, so that's the value I'll use.
Jai Uttal Dial M for Mantra Amazon value of $12.49

This book has short entries for every day of the year and looks really interesting; I look forward to reading it daily. I've actually never used a meditation music CD before, but I think I will give this one a go :)!

Grounding Gemstone Energy Set. No brand listed, so I'm unsure of value. They are good quality and I'm going to guess at a value of $8 based on similar sets for sale online.

The shampoo is very watery, but includes some great ingredients and a lovely smell; too bad I don't use shampoo! I love this necklace a lot, it's filled with grounding and healing herbs of dandelion root, gotu kola, horsetail and a slip of birch bark with "To Focus" written on it in Hebrew. I will absolutely wear and love it. I always like to receive gems, and these ones are nice quality, very pretty and with a little info card on their meanings. Have a better look below.

Hematite - Known as a "stone for the mind". It brings mental organization and is very grounding and calming.

Red Tiger Eye - Helps ground a person back into their body.

Unakite - Can assist one in staying grounded through meditation, healing and spiritual work.

Carnelian - Grounding influence of carnelian allows you to feel settled and more secure.

By my estimates, this box has a total retail value of $65.92, but that could be high or low depending on the gems. Without the gems, the value is $57.92. While I'm not wowed with the value of the box, I am incredibly impressed with the curation of the box. These are things I never would have bought for myself, but am excited about now that I have them. The only exception is the shampoo, but that is just due to a personal choice to be no-poo and I know I can find a good home for it since it does look really great. I doubt I will buy the December box just because my budget is already stretched tight with the holidays, but I do like this box enough that I absolutely plan to buy another Yogi Bliss box again in the future.
